Good evening. How many remember going to Saturday matinee for a double features movies.I loved them.Plus weekly episode of batman, superman etc.
One thing about this you can see them over and over again in theaters.
I used to sit most of the day watching movies.
War movies, cowboy movies, etc. Those days were great.Even cartoons they show along with world news. All day entertainment for .25 if your under ten.
Those were glorious days and good movies.
Those days are gone.Yes I am old school

For example I remember seeing Dr. No the first time on its initial release with a short black and white B movie in the Edgar Lustgarten (now there’s a name to conjure with) Scales of Justice series. The second time around the Bond film was paired with a Kirk Douglas Western called The Indian Fighter. Third time around I caught it on a double bill with From Russia With Love. I’m listing the following releases chronologically rather than by preference.

We didn't have double features where I grew up. No matinees either.

no , the double feature wasn't around when I grew up. It sounds fun though and a perfect way to spend the day for a movie lover.

I remember these days very well although I didn't often get to go as we lived out of town.
