Are They So Cute? Stray Pigs in the Loose!

If you travel to different barangays in the Tinglayan, Kalinga Philippines, you will see the wild black pigs on the main road, pathways in the mountains. They are like stray dogs on the street. Most of the local tribes let them loose and eat all the grasses in the area. They don’t need to buy sacks of feeds for the wild pigs. Most Filipinos love to eat wild pigs’ meat and the meat is tasty as compared to the white pigs on the farm. I took a lot of photos of this animal. I am a city boy and this is what makes me fascinated in the mountainous areas in the Cordillera. “Are they cute?” “Are they available in your place?” Image Credit: Shavkat

@Shavkat hahaha! kabsat, i don't think those are wild pigs. they are domesticated pigs, because wild pigs i think have different appearance; their teeth are 'usli', and they are taller.

@DianneN I hope I can keep them. But I had a pet during my childhood years. The family butchered it and I don't eat my poor pet that time.

The only animals you get to see over here are dogs and cats. It is rare to see something else

@averygirl72 You need to brace yourself if going here, my friend. Sometimes they have a random tribal war here.

@magallon The wild pigs who had been staying in residentials are not agitated. Mostly the agitated ones are in the forest.

piglets are always cute as all small and kid animals look like. In our province, we have the so called 'disciplined pigs' which are on the loose in the village, but when the owner calls, only the pigs owned by him/her will come.
