What do outsiders think about Bollywood

I was wondering how people outside India think about Indian films and film industry.. refereed as Bollywood. Please share your thoughts.

I don't watch them but I don't watch any movies much. I know they are very popular with Indians.

there are too many cultures diversions, I guess.. but some big movies are really good. and why the rich guys always go to London..

There education system was considered better. secondly early only rich guy could afford to go outside the country and London or USA most of the people understand as foreign land. Lol your question is so good ............

Earlier it was so. now since new age directors and viewers have come up lots of changes you may observe. Dance and songs were there as 1. make it a complete package, ( its tradition to present old stage dramas in singing manner.for example ramayana and mahabharata) most of earlier movies were love stories here. songs meant for extra money ( as audio cassets were used to sell separately

We in America do not see Bollywood movies in cinemas. I am sure they are available on other sources. The only Bollywood movie to ever receive much attention was Lagaan.
