Taking a day off..

I'm not working today.. I gave myself a 3 day weekend! Woohoo!
Originally hubby and I had planned to go away for the weekend. Sunday will be our anniversary, and next weekend is my birthday. We planned to go to Atlantic City for this weekend, so we both requested the weekend off..
However, after our vacation with the kids a couple weeks ago, and needing to replace the brakes on my van, we just don't have the money to go away right now.
So hubby will go to work at both of his jobs all weekend, but I kept the day off that I requested.
My license will expire next Friday on my birthday. I will go to the DMV today to get that taken care of. Then I will do my grocery shopping and some other errands. Then I'll spend the rest of the day relaxing and maybe watching a couple movies.
With all this rain we're having, Atlantic City probably wouldn't have been much fun anyway...

As I don't have time during the work week to renew my license, that was a primary reason for keeping my day off.

Hope you got a lot done . . . getting things off the checklist always helps and hopefully it got you ahead for the weekend. Sorry you couldn't go on your trip this time, but it's definitely something to look forward to when the time is right!

We have been wanting to go camping for 2 weeks now but the rain and cold weather has stopped those plans. And now our 2nd car has broken down and it's not worth fixing. So we have to buy another car. It won't be brand new but close, I told hubby it has to be at least a 2014 we are getting older and don't want problems anymore with cars.

I hear ya there! I have a 2011, it's the newest car I've ever owned. I've had it almost 2 years now, and still have quite a few more payments to make on it, but I love having a reliable vehicle I don't have to worry about!

So far I've just done a lot of grocery shopping, and that was stressful and hectic as always! Oh well, I now have the rest of the day to myself!
