So, anyway I volunteered to help the local Humane Society with some grant writing tasks. This group has a core group of very dedicated volunteers. I knew I didn't want to get involved in some of the rough and tumble animal tasks, however, someone was going in for knee surgery and I felt compelled to do more volunteering. However, they have not provided the information I need in order to write the grants, which I am not happy about. Now, they want me to do some kind of all day volunteer project tomorrow..it is raining here off and on..and it involves building a tent..and all sorts of things, YIkes! I think they should just cancel this event in the first place. No one is going to be there on a rainy Saturday, plus there are other events going on in the area. I will go because I said I would..but just assuming someone knows what to do..and is willing to do all the tasks. It sounds like it is going to be a total drag. If they have internet it might not be too bad.
