How do you use your celery?

Why do they not sell celery by the stalk? They would make so much more off of one plant and I know that I am not the only one with this complaint. There are tons of forums and blogs out there about what to do with your leftover celery, most of them not very appetizing. Some of the uses even include things like planting it and growing more with the existing plant you have. Hello? I already have too much. lol. So when I buy it I start by using it for what I need. Next, I make ants on a log, very yummy. Next, I check with my neighbors and friends to see if they could use any. Most often I just compost it and use it to help my other plants grow. What do you do with your leftover celery?

I usually buy it for soup. Leftover goes into tuna fish, chicken, and egg salad. By then, it's all gone.

Chopped in salad or slaw; added to chilli, bolognese or filling for cottage pie; chopped into soup along with other veg.

Outstanding! So when you find yourself buying celery do you tend to have all these items in a week or so to use up all the leftover? Also, I have never heard of cottage pie. I might have to try that.
