Testing One's Mental Ability

Have you been in a situation where you feel like you are being tested mentally? Where the other person keeps on asking questions as if he doesn't really know those things? Where your answers are being taken and formed again to another question? Sometimes I take it as a challenge. I enjoy answering the questions. But if I feel that the person is just asking questions that are almost the same and I keep on answering just as I have answered, I feel a bit annoyed. Is he challenging me? Or he is just making a fool of me? just asking.....

I can really understand it if it is a psychological test because psyche test really go in circles. But it is somebody who keeps on testing how far i know about things. I am not sure if I am still enjoying it or it is only my long patience that keeps me going.

I know what you mean. Happened to me once. The first time I was patient enough, then it got a bit annoying because it seemed like we were just going in circles.

@magallon some people say, I am very transparent. .One can really tell from my eyes or face when I am annoyed. I am not really good at pretending, so I guess that person would stop asking me before I say anything rude lol

@Iam_jauntyjen I want to be nice to everybody here but if he will really continue on annoying me, I think I'll just have to stop interacting with him.

hmm, that is how i sometimes make a thread out of a discussion. i ask questions but i really don't know the answers of what i am asking. it is my way of acquiring knowledge. now, if the respondent answers me with short replies, like "yes", then i think he or she does not like me asking more questions anymore.

@ridingbet I think it's better not to say it.. He regularly comments on my posts but he seems to challenge my knowledge too...

It's alright to ask questions if we really do not know the answer. But what is annoying are those questions that are kept repeated as if you are just going in circles. I can sense that he also know the answer. Maybe, he just really want to test if I have a wide understanding of the topic.

Maybe at first it is really curiosity, I agree to that. But if it is continuous and almost the same, i think it is just fooling somebody and not satisfying his curiosity.

@Mareena maybe the best thing to do is to stop interacting with the person. I feel like i am making him happy if i continue on interacting with him.

@magallon start telling blunder jokes as answers...if their intention is to fool you. These ans will backfire them a lot. Idiots never deserve intellectual debate...lol.
