Oh goodness, I found my purse!

May 8, 2017 2:08am CST
I went online shopping this evening & when it was time to check out everything in my cart. I went to go fetch my purse to enter my credit card information. I panicked because I couldn't find my purse anywhere. Then, I realized I must have forgotten my purse in the car when we went to pick up lunch 6 hours ago. Our car was parked outside in the driveway! Thank goodness my purse and all my belongings were fine! What helped was that our car is tinted and with black interior, my bag is camouflaged as it is also black plus the weather is gloomy/raining so, you could hardly see my bag in the backseat. I have never accidentally forgotten my purse in the car for that long. Have you ever forgotten anything in the car? I sometimes forget food though.

Oh, yes. I have forgotten things. Always were okay. I always have my purse right with me. That would sort of freak me out.

I'm so happy that you found it. You must have been so relieved. I've never personally left anything in the car, but left my purse on the roof of the car when buckling my kids into their car seats. I drove off, but saw it in the driveway. Phew!

I forgot my purse in the car a few times and freaked out afterward because these days they'll break your windows for anything.

You are right. People will do anything now a days. I freaked out also because my fiances sister actually had her car broken into because she forgot her purse in her car infront of the home too.

I ALWAYS leave stuff in the car. And the kids do too. If anything I often leave my phone in there . . . I don't look at my phone a lot like many people do - so it's quite easy to completely not even think about it. I'll do this at home . . . I'll realize Hubby hadn't texted me that he was on his way home - and oops - he did but the phone was in the car so I never heard it!

@infatuatedbby I have done that before , leaving it while I'm in the store or somewhere. But I know I gotta be more careful. Yah, I've had my car broken into before - I know what that feels like .

Oh no! Don't leave it when you're at the market or somewhere. People break in for the strangest things or even a backpack with nothing in it!

I always used to lock the car when I had one. You were lucky that the tinted windows covered your belongings!

I lock the car also, but never know. My fiancé's sister had her purse broken into parked infront of the house also. Her car wasn't tinted, so thankfully mine was plus it was raining out.

@TiarasOceanView Yes now a days people do anything even if there may be nothing in it! (Money wise as I don't carry cash). Thank you. Have a good day. :)

I try not to forget anything in the car, tinted glasses are forbidden here, for security reasons, the police wants to see how many people and WHO there are inside the cars.

@HAPPSINGH I suppose that in the United States it's legal to have tinted glasses, in Switzerland, France and Italy it's not.

@HAPPSINGH I agree, it's too easy to hide inside.

@LadyDuck It is stat by state I believe. We cannot have windshield dark or driver/passenger windows but back windows can be dark. In TN they don't seem to bother much if your widows are painted jet black...a little too lax on some things.

No, as far as I can remember - - I have not forgotten anything in my car . . not even my car keys! But one day my friend and I went to play tennis and left my cellphone at home. I forgot to pick up my wife . . she kept calling me. It was already one hour late when I remembered I got to pick her up. O, she did not talk to me for one day . . If I did not say sorry a few times and assured her that I may have forgotten to pick her up . . I would never, never forget her as my one and only PRETTY wife! .

@infatuatedbby Yeah, since then I have never forgotten to pick her up on time. But my blood pressure shot up a bit one Sunday morning . . when we were already in the parking lot of the church but had to drive back to the house coz she forgot to put on her dentures. . . and she loves to sing along with the choir during mass.

I used to own a Jeep, and I would always keep the top off so I could enjoy the fresh air and warm sunshine of south Florida. One Monday morning when I was getting ready for work, I panicked because I could not find my wallet anywhere. After searching frantically with no success, I realized I was going to be late for work if I didn't leave right away. I went out to my Jeep, and sitting there in the driver's seat in the wide open was my wallet. It must have fallen out on Friday afternoon when I had gotten home from work My wallet sat there the entire weekend in an open-top Jeep, and nobody even messed with it. I couldn't believe how fortunate I was!

Oh my gosh! You are very lucky with your wallet and that money stash before :) I see cars with the top down all the time, not Jeeps but convertibles. My fiance used to have a S2000 and we never leave the top down because the garage opener and car information is in it!

@infatuatedbby When I had my Jeep, I came to the conclusion that because it was open for anybody to reach in and take whatever they wanted, nobody ever messed with it because they figured there was nothing worth stealing simply because it was open. In all the years I owned that Jeep, nothing was every stolen out of there.

Many times i did forget my things, the most embarrassing was when I went department store leaving my bag to luggage counter. While going I was asking myself why my body is so light which not used to be. Then I realized I forgot to pick up my backpack in the counter. That was almost 10 kilometers away.
