Not Terrified But Dang! I Had To Jumped Back

Spooky the stray cat that took us over around 6 months ago has been spoiled here lately, coming inside and eating at the front door, laying beside his food and sleeping, I usually don`t let the animals inside because of allergies we both suffer with. Spook did not want to stay inside, he adores the clean deck and lays under the overhang of the yellow bell bush ( needs to be trimmed) I let him out and he got his cat treat, or dessert. I decided to open the umbrella over the table and chairs to give another place to lay around in the shade, when I did I seen something huge and black run to the other side of the umbrella. I jumped back when I seen it was a huge black spider, sort of hairy with a white dot on its back. Armed with a small bag of cat treats I lifted the umbrella with one finger and he ran underneath the umbrella! I dropped it again and moved around a little and raised it again. With the swat of the bagged cat treats he went to the deck floor, I hit at it and it went between the planks. Being mean as I am, I stuck the edge of the cat treat bag through the crack making the spider fall down and under the deck. Take that! I hope it don`t climb back up and goes off to find spider friends under there. My luck he will go to the bag of potting soil under there and wait on me.
