I'm glad I took the photo / myLot

The photo shows Roomie with the little apple pie that I made her for her birthday. I put onion slices on top cause its a standing joke how every time she eats at a restaurant she MUST have onions added to whatever her meal is. I looked over at her about fifteen minutes after I handed her the pie. The pan was empty. Not a crumb left. Ha ha. Its her birthday. Time to dig in and live it up!

@sallypup I love to make flaky pastry Lenore. Learned how to by hand years ago in a little class in school in England.

@TiarasOceanView Learning to make pie pastry from English bakers. Wow. I take two bread knives and work the shortening into the flour. ( I knew an English lady who said half butter was the way to go.) No machines for me. Butter knives and fork and fingers.
