This morning we drove two hours up to deepest Norfolk to collect Milo and Daisy and then two hours back again. They didn't make so much as a peep in the back of the car - in stark contrast to our cat Bagheera who will howl, pee, poop and puke every time you switch the engine on. We're keeping them confined to the kitchen whilst they settle in. The moment we opened the carrier Milo burst out, started exploring and playing with the scratching post activity centre thingy. Daisy kid in the carrier for the first hour before finally grudgingly coming out. He was bouncing off the walls whilst she was almost crawling round the room like a soldier doing a wriggle crawl on the floor. After my husband left to get food, she relaxed a bit and came out to explore and has been playing but she's managed to get behind the fridge-freezer and get herself covered in something sticky. Bagheera's nose is out of joint. He came into the kitchen, saw Milo, hissed and backed off. Little Milo bounced over to say hello only for Bagheera to flee the room. So this evening there will be a lot of fussing and making up to do with him. So far I'm feeling quite optimistic. Daisy will get more confident I'm sure and I very much hope Bagheera will come to appreciate that we bought him some playmates.

Already little Daisy seems to be growing in confidence. She's much smaller and less strong than her brother. Big cat has just spent ALL DAY on the bed pretending nothing has happened./

Bagheera might not have wanted any playmates. Soon they will all be friends.

I hated seeing him so lonely. But he won't want to share me.

Animals are individuals just like people. Some are more sensitive to riding that others are. They sure sound cute and happen in their new home. They should all get used to one another in time.

Our ginger cat used to belly-creep round the room too but only when there was a thunderstorm. Hope the kittens settle in quickly. I'm sure Daisy will soon take her cue from Milo and be quite at home.
