Does anyone else feel themselves getting to a Wednesday and thinking omg!!! This week couldn't go slower!!! I love my job, but sometimes I get bored of working in the office.... and doing HR can be quite intense at times I found myself google searching last night 'ways to enjoy your job more' it mentioned things such as - taking pride in your work space, set goals within your control, take pride in how you look at work, talk to your boss regularly.... I mean ok, yes it's helpful but I do them all! Any suggestions on how I can enjoy work more? Thank god its Friday!!

That sounds fab... were you into teaching already, or did you just take it up online?

I think what you are feeling right now is burnt out..I always tell my friends to balance their life style. Do not go home early try relaxing first by walking around nearby work..think that after work you will go somewhere else or meet a friend sometimes etc..

That's really useful Hun I'm going to try that! Thank you.... I work 12 hour shifts so being here all day is tiring ... i never thought about going for a little de-stress walk after :)

You see we work so that we could get paid, we could get some salary or remuneration. We should motivate ourselves that we have to work because our employer pays us for discharging our duties. We should not be unfaithful to our employer. At times, our work could be boring or repetitive but we earn through our work, therefore, we should work with due sincerity and diligence.

@Eliziaknows Yes, you are right that we all need something new or exciting to keep us going. Repetitive activities, same faces, same bosses make the atmosphere dull.

@dpk262006 so very true - I know that exact feeling. I'm going to try the advice from @m_audrey6788

I'm a stay at home mom now but I did work in an office for a few years before. When I started to get tired of going I would remind myself there are plenty of people out there who would do anything for my job so they could feed their families. Being grateful even when it's not the best situation will get you through anything. =)

@Eliziaknows I have always wished I could help the world too. Unfortunately I haven't won the lottery to reach a bigger amount of people but we have taken in homeless people before and given money when we can.

Thank you.... that is a very good way of thinking of it and I do tell myself that... unfortunately there are many less fortunate people in the world... I wish I could help them!

Just think of the bills you have to pay, the things that you want to buy in the stores and most of all, think of the payday...

@Eliziaknows We are only humans... Don't worry. As long as you can still wake up, get out of bed and go to work it's ok.

That is exactly what gets me through the day.... I just wish I could wake up in the morning and want to go to work, instead of contantly thinking about the weekend!

What you're feeling is normal. We need to have sense of balance between work and relaxation/leisure otherwise we'll be burned-out in the long.

I am pleased to hear I'm not alone! I get so worn out though that it comes to the weekend and all I want to do is stay at home.... going to try going out after work now and then :)
