South africa charges up to 80% of whatever you ship from outside of the country because they feel they are protecting their local brands, this to me is crazy. 80% of whatever you buy is a rip off.

We do not pay customs fees inside the European Union. For goods bought outside EU, we have to pay only if they cost more than 40 Euros.

I think that is very huge. I have never bought anything through post office so no idea how the post office works here in this regard. I only bought things within the country too.

80% ? it will be more the cost what we buy the product. Its the trick of the government then, to not to let people buy from outside the country. Its also good in a way. local products will be sold , this improves the economic state of the country.
