It turns out Pigs are pretty amazing animals, ranked by science as one of the 4 smartest animals, along with the Elephant, Chimpanzee and, Dolphin, they can smell something from up to 4 miles away and, even 25 feet underground, sometimes used to detect explosives or land mines. They are also great swimmers, on one island in the Bahama's they swim out to meet people in boats or even swim with people, knowing they will feed them haha and, can recognize their name just weeks after being born, some are even known to play video games lol. I am watching a show called Things you didn't know on Nat Geo Wild. Another interesting note is they can weigh as much as a Volkswagen, though rare. Photo Credit Pixabay free images. It's a Pig.

Didn't realize they were such a clever animal, but I know animals know much more than we think they do. Pigs have to be one of the most eaten animal for sure..because bacon.

i know that anatomically speaking, pigs are the closest to human. They can get sun-burned and they can suffer from hang-overs as well.

In my country pigs don't have a good fame because they stand for the laziness and fool. Although we know the pigs are actually smart animals, but it doesn't change a bit for its fame anyway. This is why we can't really understand why some people will have a pig as the pet.

They can be good pets, it's all in how they are raised I believe, but you can train them in many ways.
