Back from my friend´s home

I jsut came back from my friend´s invitation for lunch. The day is gone and I turned on the heater as soon as I arrived. My friends were expecting me with a lunch only suitable for a queen. We had appetizers to begin with. Lili had made a sauce with homemade mayo, garlic, basil and cilatro leaves. They also had salami. We drank a wonderful red wine. Sant Ema, Merlot, gran reserva. Awesome! To begin with, they had an abalone carpaccio. It had been a long time since I had had abalone. As they can be caught only at a certain time of the year and they export a great part of it, It is scarce and very expensive. The main dish consisted in pork sirloin baked with mushrooms and then covered with an almond sauce. It was served with small new potatoes boiled with their skin. After such a delicious lunch I did not want desert. I took a nap and Lili showed me the first chapter of what seems to be an interesting serial: The Crown (about the life of Queen Elizabeth II). Lili brought me home after we had coffee with a delicious carrot cake. And here I am, ready to mylot some. I´ll be here for at least a couple of hours.
