I got to thinking this morning that since its Mothers day that most families would be at someone house cooking out and eating. Perfect! While all the husbands and sons are with wife and mother I was on the lake, with only one other boat, fishing and having fun. The blue nose bream are SO big I can barely hold one in my hand. In just a couple hours me and Tony caught 25 keepers, tossed back a few smallers ones and lost some monsters. How was your day?

That's a fun thing to do, fishing. I hope I can do the same activity in the province. Happy Mother's Day!

Its was fun fishing but the flat bottom boat that we paddle does make your back hurt.

That's fantastic I love fishing! I'm not familiar with the blue nose though. Here locally in Oklahoma there are Crappie, bass and catfish predominately that are caught to eat. We also have gar, drum, carp and buffalo. But anyone that I've ever seen catch them, throw them back. They have paddlefish, and those are weird looking, but I know they are kept to eat.

I like bream (brim) best, they do not get really huge but they taste good. Crappie ( croppie) is next and they do not get huge. Bass can get huge, Tony has caught a 15 pound large mouth before, my biggest is 5 pounds. Some people like catfish and I will eat them but I am not fond of the bottom feeders. Carp can be eaten here as well but most people throw those back.

That's a lot of fish. Cleaning them must be hard work, but there will be satisfaction when you are done.
