Sunshine To Start Off This Week

Happy Monday! Finally!! we have some sun this morning and what a pleasure to wake up with the sun streaming through my bedroom window. Before I got out of bed I was already smiling. Yesterday was a full and fun day here at my house. Everyone came to celebrate Mother's Day, my daughters birthday and my grandsons birthday. We had two cakes, brownies, black & white bakery cookies and ice cream sundaes. Of course this was all preceded by a pizza party. Normally we have a big meal on occasions like this but since we were all together just a few weeks prior for our Easter dinner no one wanted to go through all the hassle of cooking a big meal again. It was really nice and for a change we all got to spend time sitting around and visiting rather than in the kitchen cooking and cleaning up. The weather cleared up for awhile in the afternoon so the kids were able to go outside and run around and get rid of some of that energy that they all have. Gosh I wish I had half of their energy. All in all it was a great day and it makes me proud to look at my children, their spouses and all the grandchildren they gave me. I am truly blessed in all the things that matter in life. Now we're at the beginning of another new week. Looks like this week will bring more sunshine and it's going to get hot! I wonder if we'll finally be able to put away those winter clothes and turn off the heat? What do you think?
