Dramatic Thunder and Lightning

The sky turned dark gray in the early afternoon. I lay down for a nap and when the very first crash sounded I nearly fell out of bed. A dramatic thunderstorm lasted for about an hour. I am glad because since it was the first of the season it means the weather will get warmer and the ground was rather dry.
I love thunderstorms best when they occur during the night. Love seeing all the lightning flashing up above.
How about you do you like thunderstorms?

@RasmaSandra This is what I love too. There is no danger if you stay inside with the light turned off.

Thunderstorms are a rarity here. The rumbling can be a bit disconcerting.

Yes I love them as long as I am inside and yes at night time they are really making me feel comfortable inside.

Thunderstorms scare me. I kept thinking of the possibility of having the house collapsing on top of me.
