Won't be camping here anytime soon

This weekend is a long weekend. The official start of the camping season. We decided to check out one of our favorite camping grounds along the river. As you can see by the pictures the whole place in under water. The building is the Registration office and canteen. Behind it is the river. In front of it is the parking lot. The bottom picture shows the campground. I have never seen it flooded like that before.
It will be sometime before all that water is gone and the ground is dry enough to set up camp.

Too much rain there. Bummer it is camping season and you all wont be able to camp :(

@rebelann when you do get rain in El Paso, does it have a tendency to flood?

Yes we love camping. There are always other places to go but it has been just too cold and damp to camp yet.

The weather has been terrible. It is nice and warm today and will be tomorrow too but the weekend is suppose to be cool.

Oh goodness, you're going to need a pontoon boat to camp in that place! What river is overflowing and causing all the flooding?

@Happy2BeMe We have a river called St. Johns River here in Florida. The only major river in the United States that flows NORTH!

The St. John River. It overflows every year during the spring but some years are worse then others.

Yeah, by the looks of it, you would be a little wet! Give it a few weeks. It looks chilly too, as I see you have no leaves on the trees there yet.

It is still really cold and damp. I don't see us getting out camping until towards the end of June this year.

It should start to go down as the Weather warms up more hope so.

@Happy2BeMe We are going to have a very hot day tomorrow, 30C and I thought that today was forecasted to be hot as well, but its cool and raining now.....just what we need, more rain!

@Juliaacv It is suppose to be nice here now until Monday. Tomorrow and Wednesday at suppose to be the warmest reaching the mid 20s. The weekends highs are only 13-14 so not camping weather at all and then heavy rain on Monday.
