I took my mom out for brunch on Mothers Day to this cute little place nearby I had never been to. It is my first time going out to eat since I started watchinh what I eat and exercising (I hate to call it a diet but it is what it is). Because it was brunch there were plenty of egg and potato type options which I avoided. I ordered the one salad on their menu, but even that had loads of dressing on it and didnt really feel like a healthy salad. On the upside, I considerwd it my splurge and it was delicious!
Dieters out there - how do you handle going out to eat? Do you find yourself looking for healthy options or sticking to salads or do you splurge?
I had to include a photo of the salad. Yum!

When I order salad I ask for the dressing on the side so I can control how much goes on the salad. I also try to stay away from anything fried and avoid the bread if the bring it to the table. As for the rest I use moderation as my guideline. Good luck with your healthy eating and exercise

Even if we are diet conscious , nothing happens if we eat outside for one day. If we continue it ,then it's not healthy. .I eat out side once in a while

I always get my dressing on the side. But I don't always go with the salad, sometimes I opt for grilled options with veggies.
Sometimes, I call it my cheat day and splurge!

It depends but I think Fasting is a great tool to Dieting ... It depends on what your body will allow. Eat ! Moderation is key! If you like to eat different healthy foods I would stick to that Genre
I normally go for a Sandwich lol with lots of veggies!

Well salads are healthy so I would probably go with that if I was on a diet.

You are in America - the land of way oversized portions but also the land of specifying exactly how you want it. So buy the starter size instead of the main, ask for no dressing - or dressing on the side - and if it's a place with an online menu, check what's available before you go so you can make the best choices.

I end up going with a salad. Sadly, most restaurant salads are not all that healthy. We don't eat out often so its not a big issue for us.
