Get Out Your Pontoon Boat

This morning when I woke up the lady on the radio said, “Get out your pontoon boat.” Yes, today is going to be a wet one. They are forecasting at least a half inch (1.27 cm) of rain. We are also supposed to have a thunder and lightning storm this afternoon. Right now it’s slightly breezy with water pouring out of the sky. And it’s forty-one degrees Fahrenheit (5º C). They are forecasting five to eight inches (12.7 to 20.32 cm) of snow in the mountains. On Monday night it got down to the twenties (-6.66º C) in some areas. Where I live it stayed slightly above freezing. But warmer and dryer weather is on its way. After tomorrow things are supposed to warm up and be sunny through next week. I still haven’t had to water my lawn this year. Heck, we barely have had enough dry days for me to get out there and mow it. It’s not to the point of tickling by butt when I walk through it, but it is growing like mad. And I just mowed it a week ago. Just like the snow this winter, we are all getting tired of seeing rain. We are all thankful it’s rain and not snow. But, my goodness, seeing a little bit more of that giant yellow ball in the sky would go a long way to making everyone feel better. I hope you are enjoying the weather you are having.

I guess here we might as well get rid of our pontoon boats . It has barely drizzled here and there - but that's about it. Right now it's in the low 70s . . . grayish but sunny on and off, breezy . . . and some of us are freezing our butts off outside . But can you believe by Sunday we are supposed to be in the 90s? I can't complain . . . but I just wish we had a little more consistency here.

@RichardMeister We were joking this morning that since our hot weather isn't quite here yet (which is amazing for us), maybe we'll be having a late summer - and maybe it will extend into November .

Sorry to hear of your rainy days Richard. It will be nice when the sun comes out and dries it up. And provides some way to mow the grass. Don't get to water logged now ya hear? I would love to be pontooning right now.

I'll try to stay dry so I don't get water logged.

Ha! On my island in the Caribbean it is raining heavily. The sun peeped out briefly on Saturday - then no more. Today it seems like we are experiencing a mini hurricane with much less wind.

Speaking of the sun, it just peeked out here but I don't think that's going to last. Sorry you are experiencing a mini hurricane. I'm sure that's not much fun ever though there isn't much wind.
