Another Hot Day in Georgia

Summer is about to set in at our place. Yesterday and today hit the nineties. All the green colors are beautiful. Looking off our deck to the apartments across the woods, I can only see green shady trees covering the apartments. In winter when the branches are bare we can see everything But now it's like we are living in our own green cocoon.
I read awhile today on the deck. A book by Beverly Lewis that I have wanted to read for awhile. But it's not what I expected and although I usually finish reading any book I begin. I don't think I will waste my time on this one. This is an Amish book but it's too sentimental for me. I'm sure many people will love it. Beverly Lewis is one of my sisters favorite authors.
Hope everyone has a nice day. I feel a little better today but not quiet there yet.

@RubyHawk our weather here is so erratic. it rained this late afternoon, and now, it is getting hotter again
i wonder how the climate change can be reverted back when there is progress in every country now.

@RubyHawk A bit unusual for May. With the humidity, it was in the nineties yesterday and it will be the same today but will get cooler in the days ahead.

@1hopefulman I hope summer hasn't come in for good. It's still hot here.

It's been very hot. Normally, I have a comforter on but today just a sheet. I have the comforter within reach in case I need it. About 3 am I covered with it. I usually stay cool.

Oh its hotter than I thought. My daughter said it was 87. That's hot enough. I have to wear a sheet only on my bed because of having the catheter.

I'm glad you're feeling better. I like the way trees enclose a person in. Probably one of the few things I like about summer. Heat isn't one of them. I'm sorry you don't like the book. I know she's a good author, but even author's have their books that just hit a sour chord.

It's 86 here today. I don't have the a/c going at the moment because there's a great breeze coming through the windows from somewhere cool! But I do have the shades pulled down to keep the hot sun from burning me up! And I completely understand about the book! It's happened to me quite a bit lately.

We are expecting the temperature to be near 90 for the next few days. The trees are lush with their beautiful leaves. Lilacs and fruit trees are all in bloom. My allergies are kicking my butt!
I too would put down a book if it weren't to my liking. Why waste your time if you aren't going to enjoy the read.

I've been keeping a close eye on the weather here in Florida, in the hopes we can get some rain soon. There are wildfires raging all over the state, and even though it rained a little bit last Saturday, it wasn't enough to put a dent in all the fires. We've been pretty lucky around where I live, but yesterday when I left work the sky was really hazy and the smell of smoke was heavy in the air. Meaning there's a wildfire somewhere nearby, and our luck may have finally run out. And even worse, it was really windy here yesterday, which does nothing but fan the flames of the fires.
