We visited Singapore some years ago and were very impressed with the city and all it had to offer. We were able to attend a Light and Sound Show one evening. We sat on stools near the beach and looked out over the water. The show was stunning with laser lights projecting images out over the river. Heavens knows how they achieved the effects they did but it was certainly a very entertaining evening. There was a firework display worked into the story and we really felt we got our money’s worth.

They employ Holography technique. In India at one time people have tried to show some miracle in the sky. They tried but failed because there was rain.

What a shame the rain spoilt the show. We had lovely weather while we were there.

Aren't these types of shows always more spectacular when displayed over water? The reflection cast is just wonderful, watching fireworks over open water is my favorite place to view them.

@JudyEv It is good to hear that it is a worth visiting place. I will keep in mind to make a visit to 'gardens by the bay', when I visit this place. Thanks for the information.

It is a very clean and interesting city. They have an amazing 'gardens by the bay' with a number of climatic zones under a huge roof. It is well worth a visit too.

Singapore is an amazing place. I spent a couple of days there a few years ago, but still didn't see everything I wanted to see.

@JudyEv when there we met a couple of online writers I'd come to know on the first site I wrote on, Triond. They spent the day showing us a few sights.

My son and I travelled Singapore twice but we all missed the light and sound show time. Last time when we went there, we saw some South Korean tourists sitting and waiting for the show there. They told me the show would be available in half an hour. So we also sat there and kept waiting. But as time went by, nothing happened yet. Finally we thought it might not have the show because it was already very late. And the a South Korean tourist came to me and said sorry because she made a mistake by the show time
