There were a few changes that I didn't expect and will explain what they are after I post the shows that aren't returning 2 Broke Girls, American Gothic, BrainDead, Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders, Doubt, The Great Indoors, The Odd Couple, Pure Genius and Training Day. Elementary, Man With a Plan, Code Black and The Amazing Race are now mid-season shows. Thursday will be football first with five early-season games on consecutive weeks. The first game on Sept. 28 will be Chicago Bears at Green Bay Packers., then The Big Bang Theory moves to Thursday after the games. Tuesday and Friday have no changes strong lineups both days this season. Madam Secretary now has that 10:00 pm spot on Sunday. Code Black and Elementary will have 13 episodes.

I just saw a list of all the cancelled shows (not just CBS). I either didn't watch all but one of them and only saw commercials for them, or never heard of them. So I am only broken up about one show - Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders. So sad to see that show go. I did watch The Odd Couple but new it wouldn't last. I saw The Great Indoors a couple of times, and new it wouldn't last. This thing with football being on 2 week nights PLUS weekends is ridiculous. They keep moving Big Bang Theory around. I guess it doesn't matter because they know their audience will follow them where ever they are. Gotta say, it's about time Bones got the ax.

Bones already was canceled and it was on Fox. Football brings in a lot of money, so networks will keep airing games. The Odd Couple aired February 19, 2015, to January 30, 2017 and it was 3 seasons.

They really reduced Elementary. The trend is 13 episode seasons which isn't a bad thing. Not surprised Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders was cancelled as it was bad and Gary Sinise isn't popular in Hollywood these days.

I think several more shows will be 13 episodes, as the CEO Moonves stated reruns aren't doing well. The CEO is right, as many shows people don't want to see them twice in a season and we hear lots of complaints when a show isn't new. I wouldn't be surprised to see this be the last season for Elementary, Person Of Interest a few years ago was a surprise renewal and it was out that season.

@Fishmomma Elementary did enjoy a decent run. Several years ago CBS stated a desire to go to 13 episode formats and run new programs year around.

@JohnRoberts I think its a good idea to do some of the shows this way. He did mention having year round new shows and not sure where Undercover Boss will air, as it was renewed.

I'm not feeling good on new shows. I'd like a new comedy, but I'm not sure I'll find one.

I have watched some videos of the new shows and nothing has me saying I have to see it that are comedies on network television. I already watch a lot of television and really shouldn't add anything in September or October. Several of my long time shows ended, so will have more time to watch movies, if I add zero.

A lot of people watch the games and I have watched parts of them. They mean a lot of money to the network.
