Winter Storm Warning In May?

Yes, you read the title right. On the news last night they said there was a winter storm warning for the mountains in northern Idaho and eastern Washington. They were forecasting snow over Lookout Pass. And, yes, that is very strange for there to be a winter storm warning in the middle of May–even in the mountains. Mt. Spokane got hit. I can’t tell if there is more snow on the mountains that I took a photo of earlier since the clouds are so low I can’t see the tops of them. But I’m sure they got hit as well. Here’s the crazy part. By next Wednesday they are forecasting temperatures will be in the eight degrees Fahrenheit (26.6º C) range. Snow this week–sweat next week. Right now it’s forty-four degrees (6.6º C). This crazy weather started in October when it rained nearly every day of the month. Then we had a blast-out snowfall for winter. Cold weather longer than normal. Something like 216 day where it did not get up to seventy degrees (21º C). Broke a record for more rain/snow from October to April. Come on, Mr. Weather, let’s get over it and have some nice summer days!
