I Found It

I did the smart thing. I kept all the pieces to the sewing machine in the same closet. In the same box in the closet, so I not only have the instruction book, I have the foot pedal and all the accessories for the machine as well. Now all I need to do is go over the instructions, which shouldn't be too complicated as there is a picture with each step, and then I can teach my daughter how to sew. YEA! Now that that's taken care of, I can call her when I know she'll be home from work and find out when she wants to get together so I can teach her. I also worked on a manuscript this afternoon and found some information I don't know how to deal with. It would mean re-writing a good portion of the beginning of the book. I'll figure it out. I always do. The only thing I haven't done yet is eat, which I'll need to do before I go to church tonight. The picture is the instruction book for the sewing machine. How has your day been? Thanks for reading.

I also have all the pieces and the instruction book of my sewing machine in the drawer of a cabinet near the sewing machine. I do not use it very often and I forget how it works.

@just4him I used it more in the past, now for small things I hand sew.

It's easy to do when you don't use it often.

Lucky yo to still have all the information. I want to do some sewing soon. I probably won't start another quilt until fall but I should make a couple of tops and pants with material I have. Good luck to your daughter

@RubyHawk I just looked through the book and I have the accessory box and the only thing missing is the oil can.

@just4him You'll love it. My machine will need a fresh needle and a squirt of oil.

Except for the bottom half that machine looks like my "Brother" sewing machine.

I've never had a Brother. I've always had Singer, so this is my first Viking. I do have a Brother laser printer. It's a good brand.

Oh, it's always a challenge when parts have to be rewritten, isn't it. But better to be sure than sorry. And I must apologise, I just haven't made the time to read the book of yours I purchased yet - but I will.

Yes, it is a challenge, but I figured it out using poetic license, and mythical towns. It was either that or scrap the entire project.

Good that you found it! Wonder what it would take to get one online these days? There are some sites that have the entire manuals for certain things, but I'm sure you know this!

I looked online for the manual, but being my mom's sewing machine is an older model, they didn't have it any longer. So it was good I found it along with all the rest of the accessories for the sewing machine.

With something like a sewing machine, the instruction book is very handy.

Yes it is, so are all the accessories that come with it, like the foot pedal and the extension arm, which I'm sure will come in handy with the project my daughter wants to do.

I'm glad you found it. I'm not good about hanging onto instructions. I can't remember how to make button holes on my machine and I need to. I guess I'll have to look for the manual online.

I've never been good with button holes. As much as I've read the instructions on how to make them, they always confuse me. I hope you find the manual online.
