It is a beautiful morning here on the east coast. The sun is shining and the birds are singing. There are lots of smiling faces to be seen. It makes for a good day. I am slowly recovering from all the has been going on in my life lately. I do see better days ahead. It may not be anytime soon but there will be better days. So what do you do to make yourself feel relaxed when you are feeling uneasy? Work is still really busy and with a long weekend coming up for us everything is a Rush. I am slowly getting caught up on things. Looking forward to a three day weekend and just relaxing! Hope you all have a wonderful Thursday!!

I hope a better day starts for you now! I try to get ultra productive to keep my mind off things. And exercising (even if it means only stretching) seems to get the physical tension out anyway. I can never sit still if I am feeling uneasy - otherwise I zone out and start thinking too much.

I was always stressed when I was still working. It seemed weekends were spent getting caught up on cleaning and washing plus I had to visit mom because she needed help. Now that I'm retar.... ummmm retired I am no longer stressed. Sadly mom passed away in 2015 but she was 99 so my new outlook is that she had a really long life and is no longer confused about her surroundings. Today is a strange day, it's cool here for this time of year and honestly I'm waiting for the hotter temps to finally kick in. What kind of holiday is it in Canada?
It is Victoria day. ) it is a federal Canadian holiday celebrated on the last Monday preceding May 25, in honour of Queen Victoria's birthday. Only Canada and Scotland celebrate it. It is the weekend that all campgrounds and tourist sights open up.

Well, we are trying to train our kiddoes how to do just that, regulate their moods and calm themselves when stressed. It can be anything from using a fidget to looking at their schedule to various breathing techniques. One young man likes to move heavy things and wipe tables. I can identify with that. I guess calming down is a matter of knowing you are in control. You can know this if there is something you can choose to do yourself. So for me, sometimes it is just to claim control over one small thing, like a corner, or something that I can tidy, and listen to music, and come here and read and participate.
