Update on the distant relative

United States

I said I would update (especially you @much2say) on the message I got from someone who found me in this archive article and it seems he is related to my great grandmother. Here is the original post: He said he doesn't need any info on my great grandfather's side, but he gave me a little on my great grandmother's side, some of which I already knew, like where she was born and buried. Then he said he had more info, here is what he replied back: "I have a Mintie Fierce Stalder Family Database that has 841 names. I have a few online tidbits about a few of them. Last year, an article mentioned 87 year old (now 88) Joe Edwards owned the "Movie 10" theatre in Nelsonville where he charged an omission price of $4. Also a descendant that was elected as a State Representative from the Ohio Southeastern District. I can email the links to tidbits and the database. My email address is..." I don't know who Mintie is, so I replied back asking how she is connected to my great grandmother.
Last night I noticed I got a message on Facebook and it blew my mind. This guy said he believe we are connected by family and went into mentioning my parents...

Ah, well first it's good that you found out that he turned out to be real. You have some more "dots" and now I hope you will find how they connect to your great grandmother. Mintie Fierce - wow, what a name! And thank you for the mention!!

@Carmelanirel2 Interesting . . . what does "literary name" mean? I don't think I've ever come across that name before - rather unique . . . "Mintie" does make it sound "Americanized".

Yeah, strange name, but then I noticed in his emails it was spelled Minta, but both spellings are unusual. Names get really German the further back I go,but Mintie or Minta, I don't know where that came from. Mayb e I should look it up.

Oh cool, seems it is a short form of Aminta
Thinking of names? Complete 2017 information on the meaning of Minta, its origin, history, pronunciation, popularity, variants and more as a baby girl name.

Yes, and I'm looking forward to knowing more about my great grandmother, because on the family tree I have, it stops with her.

I would really like to know more about the people in Nelsonville, because we used to camp there a lot and to think I may have run into a relative and not even known it. So maybe I can connect back with them (I do remember one girl about my age at the family reunion and would like to reconnect with her) so anything this guy can give me might help.
