I just got the strangest text from our neighbor Rebecca, she texted me and asked if we had a Peacock?? I was so confused because who the heck owns a Peacock was she making a joke? Then she sent me a picture of a Peacock in her yard!! How funny!!! And so cool I would have loved to see it myself to take photos to. I don't even think they are local to here so definitley very rare to see one!!

Peacock is our national bird and so we cannot keep it as a pet. But I have peacocks visiting us ever so often. There are loads of photos that I have taken and here is a video clip
A pleasant visitor at Solitaire. that surprised us.

I used to have lots of feathers from Peacocks we collected at the zoo we would put them in a planter so people could see them.

They are beautiful birds but, they make a weird sound with their calls. They sound like they are making this mournful, relentless call to someone named Leo.

It is not possible for an individual to have a peacock here, I guess. Perhaps it is not allowed because it is not a common bird.

Probably someone's pet. I was interested in them yesterday so I checked out the prices and they are really pretty affordable. I would flip though if that was in my yard.. Definitely a time to whip out the camera!

They are "exotic foul" and some people keep them, who knows why. You have to make sure they have enough warmth in the winter, etc. I have known several places near me where people have them.

We live in the country far from the zoo so i am not sure how it would get out here unless it was a pet, my neighbor said she tried to get closer to it but it ran into the woods, i just hope it was not hurt by other animals out there.

Lovely photo. One day I suddenly saw something moving in the weeds by the chicken coop. I looked hard to see what was up and whoa. A peacock rooster was there. Hilarious and very handsome and totally unexpected. He ran down the driveway. I saw him another time so he must live near us. Maybe he could tell there were hens around.
