May 08, some of those who still haven’t gone back to Manila and abroad and some of us from Legazpi , went to Sorsogon.
We were in two rented air-conditioned vans in all courtesy of our batch’s funds.
We first went to the Home for the Aged and gave the 17 aged people, our batch’s donations of adult diapers, toiletries, clothing amongst others. We also ordered for them as they have chosen, Jollibee spaghetti, hamburger and coke. We also pledged to give electric fans and also gave one wheelchair. We had a program to cheer them all up.
After that, we went to a local maker of some kind pilinut candy, a specialty of the place.
Then we proceeded to a batchmate’s house we call hacienda, because it’s amidst an orchard of fruit bearing trees. We were served seafoods and other delicious foods for lunch, in the middle of the orchard.
After lunch, we went by motorboat for 15 minutes to their farm situated at the top of a hill. There. we had our native snacks, a look at the farm and a carabao ride.
I have to beg off upon returning home, from attending that night’s dinner hosted by another batchmate in their house, because I was already tired, because of the heat going up to the farm on the hill.
Well, you have to look at the pictures samples of our activities for the last day, May 08.
I hope I didn’t bore you with our activities the past days from May 4 to 8.

Yes, they sell their harvest. They have workers. Especially those at the farm on the hill, the families there of the workers are being helped by having the, trained in "kasuy" , coco jam and "atsara" making. They were packed with the name of the farm.

Thank you. Yes, those activities with our batchmates were really so enjoyable. They are documented with lots of pictures and videos, which I kept viewing to relive the happiness we had.
That is good that you also get to do charity works on your get togethers.

@amitkokiladitya Yes. But i regretted not having joined them in the previous jubilarian years of ours. Though in 2012 , when our batch was one of the jubilarians I had an operation that's why I cannot join.

Thank you.
Actually, the charity works was really on one of the activities to be done. We allotted from our batch's funds for the goods and other things to be given to the home for the aged and they were already bought a month before already.

One of us led them in trying to dance even in wheelchairs. And they were gyrating and laughing on their wheelchairs.
The old man I talked with said that he is there because her wife with Parkinsons is at their house with their big child . He is happy that at least here he can be taken cared of well too.
My sore throat is nearly gone. I got pneumonia as the Xray revealed. So, I am on antibiotics now and hopefully, after I am done with the 7 tablets, I will be back to my strong self.
I still feel a bit weak and with though not much anymore.

Yes. Actually all our activities were really all planned months before the homecoming. That is , so that those who will be coming home from abroad to attend the occasion can schedule their flights too in such a way that they will be attending all those and being with their families here before the fly back abroad.

Your photos put me into smiling. It's nice of you to have such activities, specially the Home for the Aged visit. You see every December, I always visit such facility because it makes the elderly happy--having someone to visit to them. Most of them were already neglected by their families. And it makes me saddened knowing that they only have few years to live but they don't often get a visit from their loved ones.

Yes, they were so happy when we went there. Actually, that man in the wheelchair where I stood by his back, told me he is happy he is there and just visited by his daughter. That's because he cannot be taken cared of at home since her wife has Parkinson's disease and is being taken cared y their daughter.
But here, he is being taken cared of well.
