Yes, finally, my kind of holiday! Now I have to run to the pantry and decide if I can make one of those.
Devil's Food is my favorite cake....It always was. My mother was the world's worst cook but the best baker. She made a mean Devil's Food Cake with the best frosting ever.
I just checked, I have a cake mix.....my mother made hers from scratch - oh well, mine will be fine!

Yes, I am a big fan of Devil's Food Cake. Chocolate cake with chocolate icing is the perfect cake in my opinion!

@AbbyGreenhill I know that this is a chocolate cake, but the texture seems more or less the same of its white counterpart, Black Devil, White Angel.

It is not Angel Food Cake - its a chocolate cake...why they call it Devil's food I don't really know. I won't eat Angel Food - it's boring and flavorless. I made it once and had to drown it with strawberries to eat it.

Butter cream probably. Sometimes I make it in bundt pan and no frosting needed.
