Day 253 Proverbs 23:10 Proverbs 23:10 Remove not the old landmark; and enter not into the fields of the fatherless: 11 For their redeemer is mighty; he shall plead their cause with thee. People always want what they can’t have. They will take advantage of those they think are powerless to get what they want. If they are refused, they will find another way to get what they want, even committing crimes to get it. Solomon said the fatherless, widows, and poor have God as their Father and he will look out for them and take care of their needs, and anyone who tries to come against them, will find themselves up against God. Have you ever had a champion in your life, someone who made certain nobody took advantage of you? God is your champion. He knows what you need even before you ask him. There are moments in your life when people tried to take advantage of you and even before you knew you needed to pray about it, God came to your aid. God will always come to your aid. As Christians, Satan comes against you, trying to take advantage of your weaknesses in your walk with Jesus. He will try to tell you Jesus doesn’t care about you, that he won’t help you, that you need to take care of yourself. Satan is a liar. Jesus does care and is taking care of you even if you don’t see it with your physical eyes. Jesus goes before you, clearing the way ahead, so you have nothing to worry about. 1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he cares for you. 8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour: 9 Whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. Satan goes around looking for defenseless people. Let him know you aren’t defenseless, God is taking care of you. Let’s pray: Father, help me in my weakness to rely on you and not allow Satan to take advantage of me. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.
