Saturdays are for living

I think that there is an aura that surrounds Saturdays that is mesmerizing. We fantasize about how we will spend it, what work we will get done, what place we will visit, or sometimes just enjoying being about to lie around and do nothing.
My husband works today. I wish he didn't have to, but he needs to. Five of my kids are home (my 16 year old daughter is at a friend's) and it is nice just watching them grow. I'll miss this the most when it is over; the Saturdays. Saturdays are for living, loving, and growing. It is for family, friends, or enjoying solace. I hope whatever you are doing today, it is what you have been dreaming about all week.

Once you are retired, the effect of Saturday drastically diminishes.

Usually Saturday's are a normal day for us but today...hasn't been good. =( My husband has been in a bad mood all day and won't say why. The kids and I have been walking on egg shells for most of the day.
It could be because the landlord is coming today to talk...not looking forward to that either.
I hope you enjoy your weekend though. =)

Hello Colene. Yes this day is special alright.
It is different than it used to be for me.
I finally have a place where I don't have to worry about moving.

Now that we are retired Saturdays are much like any other days but I can remember how we used to look forward to them.
