A Beautiful Day Ahead

The weatherman is telling us that rain is coming, but the morning dawned bright and beautiful.
I love the springtime. The days get warm, but it still cools down at night. It was 68 F (20 C) when my friend and I headed out for our walk this morning. It was perfect walking weather.
I wasn’t online much yesterday. I spent the morning helping the gnomes pull weeds and water the garden, and the afternoon cleaning house. I have a little more cleaning to do but it’s going to wait until tomorrow.
Sunday is the traditional day of rest. After church we will eat a light lunch and then I’m going to curl up with a good book. It’s been a while since I’ve done that. I’m not good at kicking back and relaxing. There’s always too much to do.
Not today.

It is the day of rest yes.

I have found that when I'm super busy, taking a few hours off to relax isn't easy but it pays off in the long run. I'm more efficient with the tasks I have to get done.

I read The Third Circle by Amanda Quick (Jayne Anne Krentz). I've read most of her books but I missed this one.

We had a gloomy few days but today not a cloud in the sky. I"m glad of that as my son is coming from Michigan to go see the Chicago Cubs play at Wrigley Field.

Thank you. They are some of my low maintenance flowers. They pop up every spring, bloom, and then disappear until the following spring.
