What I am needing to learn online is the proprietary software of a company that does captioning. Then I need to take a captioning test to see if I am hired.
I do not know how good the earning will be, but I do know that for July and August I have no school paycheck and I need to do what I can to pick up some money.
I would welcome anyone else looking at the site. I do not earn for referrals and in fact do not know if I will be accepted. It would be nice to hear some opinions, though. I found the site through a job site, Indeed, I think.
Rev.com is the website that says it is hiring people to do captioning.

You may see captioning on any broadcast program or movie when they are allowing hard of hearing to understand the speech etc. It will be a small black box with white writing in it, should be word for word. Also should have "atmospherics' like "telephone ringing" or "thunderstorm".

I was going to do that at one time but read not great reviews Heather of course that was long ago.
I hope it turns out well for you though. Sounds like a fun thing to do.

Captioning is typing word for word what is being said in a show or broadcast, adding in atmospherics like "birds singing", "loud knocking" etc. You see it in programs that want to include hard of hearing viewers.

@GardenGerty me too but I know of Filipina who earns $100 plus weekly at Spare5.
