What JJ did not do would have to be done so that our kidneys are in shipshape condition. See that you are not dehydrated and you all know what causes that. We will wait for his return and he will sure tell us how he got dehydrated. Would you know what causes dehydration. I know some medicines cause that too

I'm terrible at drinking enough water. I come in from working in the hot garden and can tell I need to drink water. Often USA restaurants put too much salt into the food they serve, too.

@allknowing I can't take BP tablets cause I already have low blood pressure. A doctor prescribed some for me once and made me quite ill.

Blood Pressure tablets I know are diuretics. An overdose could cause trouble

Hoping that JJ comes back to the site soon. Of course, it goes without saying that we all want him to fully recover from his condition.

Not having enough water throughout the day, I would think. I have read that even drinking tea or coffee or any drink is not good enough - it's better to drink straight water when possible. I'm sure certain medications would cause dehydration too.

I would blame it on Blood Pressure tablets. They are diuretics and an overdose could lower one's blood pressure below the normal level. Let's wait and see what JJ has to say.

I do agree that there are some medications that can cause water retention. I think we still need to maintain drinking 8 glasses of water in a day.

There has to be a holistic approach. Just drinking water I do not think will be enough

@allknowing I agree. If the person has an ailment, we need to have a holistic approach,

Drinking a lot of water right now. Its very hot and I need to drink more and although I drink tea its much less stronger than I usually take it. Is he on the mend by the way? Was looking out for anything about him and see what was happening.

@allknowing Is he? So the treatment worked then. It really comes in handy to know about how our kidneys work and why and how. Wishing him a great recovery.

Dehydration in the body is mainly due to less intake of water. I don't know if it happens because of the medicines also.

I don't drink enough water. Usually I only drink water when I am thirsty. And if I'm thirsty I drink a lot of it. But I can't force it in. It just doesn't go.

He had reported kidney failure but I believe he is on his way to recovery. I am sure he will update us on his condition once he gets back here.
