I was out checking the berries a couple days ago, thy are so small this year. I hope th rain plumped them up a little more. Around here we love our blackberries. Do you pick wild blackberries?

We picked wild blackberries in France and thought it was a great thing to do. We don't have them growing wild near us although there are plenty further south. I don't if people stop on the roadsides and pick them though.

We do have wild blackberries in the isolated mountains. I am sure it is abundant because of having rains lately.

I do pick wild blackberries, but they aren't ready until July around here. I pick this huge patch along an old abandoned train track about 10 miles from home. My great nieces want to go this year.

@andriaperry Where I pick the mosquitoes are horrible, so we will have to use bug spray or dress with long sleeves or we will get tore up.

I am surprised to see blackberries at this time of the year, we pick them in August/September in my area. Maybe they are not the same ? I was liking to pick blackberries when I was a kid. I don't do it now, but I like to pick and eat some fresh ones during my rides in the countryside.
