She is our dearest Baby Duchess Amelie. Her Mom (our dearest daughter No. 1) & her husband (our dearest son-in-law No. 1), nicknamed her Allie.
Baby Allie is our grandchild No. 1! She looks better now but not when she was born last March 27, just a little more than 7 months. She was so small then (that I thought she could even fit in a shoebox) & had gruntings which made us, in the family, cry. She was placed in a crib with special bulbs, naked (just her eyes, chest & lower part covered), every other 2 hours. Her rest from those lights were her feeding time. We also had to expose Baby Allie to the early morning sun, front/left side/right side/back.
I thought those days will not end!
But, without me noticing it, she was already into her 1st month after birth! Gosh! We had a very happy celebration indeed!
Now, our dearest Baby Allie smiles as we take shots of her! Happiness!

How wonderful that your first post for a very long time should bring such joyful news. I understand that it must have been a very worrying time as she was born so early, but I'm so happy for you that Allie is thriving now. Congrats on your first grandchild

Hi, my dear Momma! Been away from you & myLot for so long already. Am glad you are still here. Yes, those medical issues stopped me from writing here, even if I wanted so much. Anyway, am feeling better again.
Re, our Baby Allie. Thank you po. I now dance while lulling her to sleep, Momma! She is giving me strength I never thought I could still have!

Allie had jaundice when she was born? (yellow skin, yellow instead of white part of eyes, high bilirubin presence in her blood) The lights and sunlight help her body flush the excess bilirubin out of her system in her stool.
I am very pleased to hear and see she responded well to the light therapy, KnehKnah! You are such a good grandma!
