I finally packed away the last of my books (except for the one I'm currently reading and one I got on Saturday). I counted up 40 boxes of books, and that's after divesting myself of 3 or 4 grocery bags full of non-keepers. I have 6 bookcases but was also stacking up books wherever I could. I just hope I can get them all arranged in the new place.

Used to have a gazillion books. Finally, after several moves, I had to downsize. I have this fantasy of having a huge library in a lovely Victorian. Also of books all around me. I just love them and feel so happy when I have many.

You definitely have a lot of books. We do have quite a few books, but not that many. We do try to go through our things every few months, and that also includes our books.

You remind me of us when we moved to this current house. We had so many books that we decided to give a lot away but still ended up with too many. We are kind of book crazy.

40 boxes of books is a lot of books. I used to have that many as well! I have a lot less now. I hope you can arrange them well in the new place.

As long as I can arrange the bookcases, the books themselves shouldn't be too much of a problem. I hope!
