I remember him as a very handsome Ivanhoe in the 1950's. He was a very nice man.

Have they. Yes, it is a big change. I don't care much for the new guy who has taken over the Bond role. None of the Bond characteristics I thought of apply to him. Sort of lost my interest over the past few years. I think of him more as a Conners or Moore type.

@celticeagle It was difficult to accept anyone after Sean Connery left the role but I've managed to see most of the movies and just think of them as action movies now.

Roger along with Sean Connery were in my opinions the best actor to play the role of 007 James Bond for us baby boomers. Sir Roger will be missed beyond words.

I will mostly. I did enjoy him as Bond but it wasn't him. Sean will always be Bond in my book.

He was indeed quite a man. I can't recall seeing the Saint series but now I will be sure to look for them.
