Two girls lost their mums in Manchester

I was just talking to my colleague Liz. When I heard about the Manchester bombing, it was her I first thought of as I knew she'd been at a big concert on Monday night but I hadn't known where. Fortunately for her, she was in Liverpool seeing Take That and not in Manchester with Ariana Grande. However her good luck was not shared by another of our colleagues who has just told us that she has lost two good friends at the MEN arena. Apparently both had tickets with their daughters and had switched seats so that the girls could sit together. The two mums were therefore waiting in the foyer when the bomb went off and were killed. Two young girls are now left without their mums. This poor colleague also lost a cousin in the Hillsborough disaster in 1989. You have to wonder how much anguish one person can take.

I am so sad to hear that. Children who lose parents are so miserable and it is a disaster for a family. I remember when my child was very little one day he asked whether I would die. I still remember he was tearful and felt very sad because I told him the truth. I felt very bad and I told him I would die after many years later and I could look at him from the heaven. It didn't help much. I am so sorry to hear these girls lost their moms. Why innocent peoople have to suffer all the mistakes?

sadly, there are events wherein most people know someone who was affected by it.

These tragedies seem to impact more heavily when they involve someone we know, or know of. We've been seeing bits and pieces about the victims on a FB site. It's so sad.

What makes this worse, if it can be worse, is that he was targeting kids.

I wonder how much of these terrorist attacks we can take. What can we do to stop them? In the southern Philippines we have lost so much.
