Marsha's Log: The Sewing Machine is Out

I made a promise to myself that no matter what, I would work on some kind of sewing every day from now on.
This past week I had intended to get the sewing machine out. It never happened.
Instead I spent the week working here and there cutting the fabrics you see in the picture.
It's the picture that I used in my WIP Wednesday blog post today....and I also listed there what I will do with the different things too.
But, now my sewing machine is out! I have sewed some more strips on to the binding for the Charming Stars quilt. I'm crossing my fingers that the binding will be long enough now. If not then I need to find another color and totally make a new binding for it. Wish me luck there.
I will keep my machine out now and work on things with the fabrics you see in the photo. Hopefully I can post an update with some sort of picture later this week.

That ladybug material is so cute. For a little girl's jumper or blouse. So cute!
I am working on getting my files on my thumb disks organized. Try to do a little every few days.

Yes, I wish I had more of the lady bug flannel. It was a piece in a bag of flannel scraps that I bought for $3.

Good luck with that binding. Nice colorful fabrics. am totally a non sewing person. Writing online is my way of life.
