Brain Turned To Mush

Another rainy day has turned my brain to mush. There is much to do in the garden but we cannot go out and so of course I use this time to work on my PC but I feel as if I am being lazy not to at least do some outside work. It is a very confusing feeling. If I feel this way then Sid who want to be outside with all the grass and flowers and trees is very dissatisfied that he cannot be outside because the rain won’t let up. Just look at that face lying on what is now his favorite chair in the living room. Meanwhile back to my mush brain which recalled a song us kids loved to sing, even shout at the top of our lungs and it goes great, green gobs of greasy, grimy gopher guts. Now doesn’t that just make your day? Who else remembers this song from childhood? Do you have rain or sunshine? I’ve included the Australian version
Eurgh! Here’s a song that the scouts love to sing - Great Green Gobs of Greasy Grimy Gopher Guts with lyrics. Join us and sing-along. :-) Subscribe to Aussie...

I don't know this song even though it says it's Australian.

Once we kids learned it we would just keep repeating it but where it actually came from I am not sure @JudyEv

@JudyEv this song was very popular for kids in the U.S. so it just might be that it also reached Australia. Now I am wondering if it ever made it to the U.K. and that might be how Australia picked it up. One way or another it is a silly and amusing kid song but I am glad I no longer have to go around singing it. One time it was enough.

@RasmaSandra It says on the link ' Aussie Kids Songs' but I guess that doesn't mean much.

As they say he wants what he wants and he intends to get it @JohnRoberts he just hasn't realized that you cannot control the weather.

I hate when that happens ... when--just yesterday (or a few minutes ago)--life was all about 'accomplishing a certain goal' or 'fulfilling a certain task' or 'providing aid in a certain way,' but then a new 'revelation' shows you that the goal/task/way you thought you were following is nowhere-near the end of the path you're headed down!

Rainy days can make a person a bit lazy, or a lot lazy... I've been there. I don't think I've ever heard of this song before...

@RasmaSandra I understand how you feel but if it is raining you cannot enjoy working outdoors. Poor Sid. My Sophie understands. She cannot go out on our porch these days until I find a solution because we had a situation and so whenever I go out on the porch she can come out too

These days the snows have melted and he comes in with muddy paws so there is always a problem getting a hold of him and checking those paws @Hannihar

@RasmaSandra Would he stomp them out on a mat if there was one or is there one already and he does not care?
