Afternoon Recap...mainly because I can't think of a witty title for this :P

Finished up watching Krampus, which actually turned out to be better than I thought it was going to be. There was a little bit of a twist at the end that I didn't see coming- that really made the movie. I recommend seeing it if you are into horror movies, if you aren't you probably wouldn't like it very much. It had a pretty decent cast but no one super mega big. The special effects were pretty good, and since I am a nerd- I do notice these things. After that and some debate we finally decided on another movie to watch, but then I decided to run to the convience store and pick up a bottle of wine and some beer for this evening- so the movie got paused. And is still paused actually. Oh well, maybe we will watch it with dinner tonight. While in the land of 4G internet reception, aka the parking lot at the convience store I went ahead and used the remaining two of my May book credits on Scribd and downloaded two new books. Since I didn't make it to the thrift store, but still wanted a couple of new books. I got "The Silver Star" by Jeanette Wells, which is an author that I discovered earlier this year and read a book by her and loved it; and "Incendiary" by Chris Cleave who is another author who I discovered earlier this year at Dollar Tree, and then found another book by him at the thrift store. He writes really great books as well, so I am pretty excited about that one. Both good books, and didn't cost anything extra since my Scribd fee is monthly and not per book. (I have gotten some questions about Scribd, so I'll post a quick little blurb about them and my review on their service at some point tonight). Since I lost out on the two UFC dvds earlier in the day today, I went ahead and bit on two movies after returning from the store. The first one is Mr.Deeds (the other half is a big Adam Sandler movie fan), the current bid is $1.75 with free shipping- so if I win that it will be a nice thrifty movie and surprise for him. I also bid on Stranger Than Fiction with Will Ferrel in it, it's at like $1.30 with free shipping and is actually from the same seller. I won't be crushed if I loose one or the other, but they would be nice additions to our DVD collection. There are literally over a hundred movies I wanna get, but figure eBay and Amazon are the cheapest route to work on adding to our collection. A couple every month works well, because then we have new movies every month to watch. Anyway, since I have gone on and on and one, I figure it is about time to end this post and go check on those auctions on eBay, and then check on dinners progress. I hope everyone is having a great afternoon!

I liked the 2 auto/biographical books that Walls wrote. I haven't heard of The Silver Star. I'll have to look it up.

@NJChicaa , which ones did you read. I cannot for the life of me think of the title of the other one by her I read. Chris Cleave is pretty good too, check him out as well!

@thislittlepennyearns I read The Glass Castle and Half Broke Horses. The Glass Castle has been made into a movie which will be released in August.
