Why They Will Never Solve Poverty

Lets face the facts, what we are doing now is just not working. I personally think it is on purpose. They just like dangling carrots in front of people's faces so they will continue to try. This to keep the rich being able to get wealthier. Ben Caron's approach to explaining poverty. "I think poverty to a large extent is also a state of mind. You take somebody that has the right mindset, you can take everything from them and put them on the street, and I guarantee in a little while they'll be right back up there," Here is another explanation to why poverty exists and to me makes a whole lot more sense than Ben Carson's philosophy. Also, I would rather remain stuck in poverty than working for a punk ass like Ben Carson. The problem for people like me is that most of the world has his mindset. So cheers to people like me always being stuck in poverty. To bad your way will just always make more poverty and this would most likely solve it and allow the greedy to continue to be greedy. So what is the harm in trying it? Oh, that is right, it makes sense, and most likely would work.
"Ideas can and do change the world," says historian Rutger Bregman, sharing his case for a provocative one: guaranteed basic income. Learn more about the idea's 500-year history and a forgotten modern experiment where it actually worked -- and imagine how

Building up treasures on earth doesn't make much sense. We will die at some point and leave it all behind for someone else to enjoy.

Indeed, but these people fake rationalize everything so they can look themselves in the mirror I suppose. They claim it is for their family, but these people have enough money for a 1000 years. No one needs that much and most things they spend their money on is eye candy for boasting, but never will use. Even the stuff they do use is over kill, no one needs a big mansion where most of the rooms stay empty and takes 10 minutes to get outside.

i heard that before as well. so we are encouraged to build treasures in heaven -- that is having a good relationship with God. like the good ol' king Solomon once said, all these riches are just striving after the wind.

@crossbones27 I have always said - what is the point of having seven homes when you can only live in one at a time? - who lives in the other six when you are not there.? That extra money could build a community center, a learning center, a community playground - something to make the lives of the less fortunate a bit more bearable.

Yes I don't listen to that Law of Attraction bs and all that bloody rot because none of that works. To get cash, yes you have to work, but to get more cash that will get you anything in life, you have to sell your body, soul, mind or something to make it. Just my idea of it. It is never enough just to work and thats not right. Work should pay enough to live. That is poverty to me. And they continue to keep the masses down. I have bookmarked that video to watch later, sounds like he has the right idea. Yeah love it when they say you deserve to be on the street because you are not trying hard enough..what a lot of bs.

Indeed, like that actually ever works to motivate people to work. It does quite the opposite or does indeed make people sell what ever they personally believe in order to make a decent life. That is why you can see people like Ben Carson never stand for anything. It is always slamming other people's ideas and spew nothing but hate.

We all have choices in the world. I think it is good to look at the actual definition of 'poverty'. Having to choose between which bills to pay and having utilities turned off. Even that isn't always because of poverty but because of the choices people make. Real poverty comes from low wages and job discrimination too. Women's rights too. This law of attraction is hooey.

@crossbones27 .....I think that volunteer work is a way that so much in this country gets done. Yes, that is capitalism at its best. There is a lot to America and freedom that is just this way. I think of it as a sort of checks and balances. If we didn't have this negative we could have this positive. That sort of thing.

True and think how many people do work and do not get paid at all because it is considered volunteering. That is what makes capitalism great is what they tell me. To me just another way to get people to work for free while others reap the benefits.

Even here in the Philippines, the problem of poverty is still getting higher not lower, even if we have a new president. I thought in your country, poverty is already solved.

Poverty is getting higher in every country of the world, while rich people get more and more rich. Government should help those who have an independent mind and like to work for themselves.

I agree, but if they did that, how would we make people slave to corporate debt? All it really comes down to, keep everyone owing them money for as long and for as much as they possibly can.

@crossbones27 I know, they want slaves not workers and when they will be able to use robots instead of slaves they will kick out every slave they do not need, as it happened in the past.

They don't care if they put you on the streets, they only care about the rich getting richer.

That is their bottom line, do not know why people keep voting these evil rich men in office thinking they are going to share the wealth. It is about and always will be about them more than us.

Why kill ourselves working if the tax rate is so high, your net paycheck barely covers the rent and other expenses?

High taxes is part of the problem, slave wages is another part of the problem. Over charging people basic necessities, including healthcare, education, transportation because our leaders our greedy is another problem.
