First Bloom Of Our Dragonfruit

The first bloom is always a moment. So when our plant dragon fruit ir pittaya bloomed last night I don't want to lose the moment for the beautiful bloom this year.
With the use of camera of my mobile phone I took three photos of the big white flower of the Dragon fruit.
Flowers of dragonfruit bloom only at night and wither the next morning. After 30 days it will become delicious red fruit.
Have you seen the flower of dragonfruit? It looks luke this

In my backyard alone we have mangoes, tamarind, guyabano, banana and lemon. It's my past time to plant that includes fruit bearing trees and vegetables.

Yes, it has a good scent but to the slightest scent only. If only it got strong scent, it would have been better.

It belongs to the cactus family and its easy to grow in dry places like our country. Maybe it can easy to grow also in some parts in India.
