Officials with the National Oceanic And Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) have mentioned due to warmer sea temperatures without the presence of El Nino to keep hurricanes from forming in the Atlantic Ocean region in 2017. The NOAA officials are predicting a 45% chance of an "above average" season in 2017. The NOAA officials predict five to nine hurricanes to form in the Atlantic Ocean with four of them being major hurricanes with wind speeds past 111 miles per hour. Hurricane season begins on June 1, 2017. Hopefully the predictions from the NOAA will fall short of expectations this year.

I know what you mean. Hurricane Katrina did a huge number to south Louisiana in 2005.

It would be really nice if they were wrong-no one needs more hurricanes!

I agree with you since I went through Hurricanes Cindy and Katrina in 2005. Nightmare city during that period of time.
