Do you ever talk to yourself?

i will have to say, I do it way to much. I do something stupid, then I will tell myself that it was dumb what I did and I will ask myself why I did it.
They say, that when you ask yoursself a question and can answer it, then there is something wrong. Well, in my case, I do answer sometimes, but then I am older too, so I blame my age for it. I have to blame something I guess.
I think though that we all do that at different times, as we all wonder why we do things the way we do, and we tell ourselves that what we did was so lame.
I try to avoid talking to myself to much though, but being alone, it is either myself or the dogs, and they certainly can't answer me except to bark back.
I figure I come in here, then I will avoid talking to myself and will talk to all of you.

You know, I think you are right, as it happens to me when I walk the dogs too. I will just be talking away, and no one else is around but me and them, and they just walk and don't pay me no mind. At home it is a different story though.

@infatuatedbby Yea, me too, as I am as normal as they come. You won't find anyone else like me. I sure would hope not anyway.

I have done it that way too, but it is still funny when I do it though,. My dog will hear me talking, and she thinks i am talking to her and will start wagging her tail and getting excited thinking I am talking to her, so she will bark back at me.

I talk to myself all the time but not always out loud. My mom was famous for talking to herself and half the time I never knew if she was talking to me or herself.

Now, that is funny. It was probably embarrassing for her too. I know it would have been for me.

When I am home alone I talk to myself. Not like question and answer conversation between two people. Just me voicing aloud what upsets me, gets me down, and anything else I want to get off my chest. Or if I want to make sense of things I am not sure about. I don't know if that makes me a crazy person, but if I were to talk to myself as if I am two people having a conversation, now that would make me crazy for sure.

Yep, that is the way I feel too. I have done the very things you have mentioned too. I ty to avoid doing it to much though, as it can become a habit talking to myself, so I will try to think about things in my mind and not say them out loud. At least if I think them and not say them, then my dog won't go crazy either.

I often have very nice conversations alone.
But being here is so much better.

I certainly agree there, as here we have peoople to talk back to, wheras living alone, we don't have anyone to talk to, unless we talk to ourselves.

All the time. I don't think answering ourselves makes us crazy or that there is something wrong with us but more if you are full blown arguing/fighting with yourself over something.

Yes, every time I need an expert's view, I go ahead and talk to myself.

I talk to myself too as does my husband. I wonder why we don't talk to each other? (Just joking really!)

Yea, it happens to me more than it should. I don't talk to myself though when I am in here as you guys keep me sane and I can talk to you.
