~My Work Load Just Got Lighter~

Hey everyone! I hope your doing well. It was 3:30pm and I was supposed to have the boys I babysit for at 3pm so I text their mom asking if they were going to be here today...No answer.
Then I text again about 15 minutes later saying I would appreciate knowing one way or the other. Finally 5 minutes after that she said sorry I thought I told you their not coming this weekend because their going with their grandma! I said no you never told me but next time I would appreciate knowing ahead of time. She text back it was told to us at 8pm last night.... Okay so you had last night to let me know and all day before 3pm!! Why wait until I ask you?!? 
Anyway, my husband asked yesterday if I wanted to do something this weekend and I told him no because I would have the boys. So he decided to work. Now I am a little frustrated that we COULD have gotten out of the house after all if I knew they weren't going to be here...
Oh well, at least the pet sitting will be a little easier since I will only have my kiddo's to take care of too. If you have any plans this weekend-enjoy it for me too!!

Sorry to hear that she didn't take the time to let you know so you could make other plans. Some people are so inconsiderate of other. I would upset too. I have no plans but that is fine with me.

Sounds like my Friday sewing lesson. Last Friday I sent her a message just before 10 AM (she arrives just before 9:30), she replied...oops...I forgot. This morning, after I had made my plans for the day...she sent a message....can't come today, or next week.
I feel just a bit put out.

I used to have this happen with my piano lessons too. My day was planned around these lessons, then people just don't show and don't tell you. I could have planned my day around my own kids and grandkids.

@KristenH Not crazy but it will be pretty boring being stuck in the house all weekend when we could have went somewhere-but I thought I would be babysitting. I hope you enjoy your weekend.

I am going to use the last of month to try to make the dollar and thirty cents it will take to beat last months earnings. Other than that maybe some painting and trying out new recipes.

That is a bit irritating that she didn't let you know. Nothing much going on here, my kid has to work and on Sunday my goddaughter is having a house warming party I'm going to.

I feel your pain. I have had this happen several times with a couple of moms I used to babysit for. Plus they didn't always pay me. They seemed to forget (1 of them quite often). I finally told them I could not babysit anymore. We had bills to pay and I needed something more steady and secure. I now tutor 2 days a week 3 hrs a day. The mom I tutor for pays me $15 an hour, $20 if she needs me more than 3 hours. The girls I babysat for paid me $10 a day (having their kids 6 to 10 hours a day); that is if they paid me at all. I think I now have a better deal.
