The Stylistics are a group of singers and musicians that I particularly like.
One of their songs from a YouTube video below puts a lot of what is going on even today, into proper perspective not only from a cultural standpoint but from a view point of a time traveler who travels from the past to the present and sees the exact same sort of thing going on in America:

The thing I will be trying my best to find is to locate a place online that sells a copy of some music on CD by that group. I would really like to keep it for my collection.

I remember them! I loved their music. Their style was called R&B, rhythm and blues. The so-called R&B now is nothing like that, doesn't resemble real R&B in the least. I like to listen to those old tunes every so often, that was good music!
